Rolls-Royce unveils wedding edition of 'Ghost' and 'Phantom' cars in India - ET

Rolls Royce will now sell 'wedding' editions of their icononic cars in India. Smart marketing strategy, one may say.

'One tenth of their cars are gifted'. May be either dowry or 'gifts' (or exhortion) to rich & powerful!!
There is will be huge demand from many the rich and mighty - surely from from the target segment, 'super rich' but also from nouvue-riche, who has a higher propensity to show-off !!!

And, Indian weddings will hit a new low, with this.
After our obsession to spend a fortune in jewellery ( when gold prices are skyrocketing) and all paraphernalia that goes into the celebrations, this will be a new opportunity in show-baazi!

Then, we say 'marriages are made in heaven'. No wonder more marriages are hitting road-blocks. When the holy event ('ssat janam ka rishta') is on the foundation of artificial celebrations (& illegal, at times), marrital bliss can not be the end result.
